Our technicians are very experienced in repairing appliances. They can diagnose the most common types of problems with your clothes dryer including:
Dryer Parts Failure: Your dryer works hard every day to get clothes dried quickly and thoroughly. With frequent use, parts wear out over time and may need replacement to keep up performance levels high! The dryer’s vent screen is designed to help circulate air inside the appliance, but when clogged it prevents hot air from moving through resulting in an inefficient drying cycle. Your dryer’s blower wheel uses centrifugal force to push heated air through your dryer’s vent and out of the house. Once these parts fail, your clothes won’t dry as efficiently as they should.
Clogged Dryer Vent: Do your clothes smell like mildew or mustiness after a cycle? Moisture built up in the vent slowly rots away the lint screen and can cause mold to develop. This is especially prevalent if you have allergies or suffer from asthma! Your clothes might not be drying completely and it may take longer than before for your next load of laundry to finish.
Faulty Door Switch: When closed properly, the door switch tells the appliance that it’s okay to start a cycle and signals when to turn off at completion. If this part is bent or broken, the dryer won’t turn on at all or will start without completing the cycle.
Broken Drum Support Roller: When clothes are drying, they rub against these rollers causing them to break down over time. The drum support roller is responsible for turning the drum inside the appliance and once it breaks your clothes won’t be dried completely.
